The Intersection of Disability and Domestic Abuse – Supporting survivors through comprehensive victim advocacy

This workshop will focus on the diverse victim-advocacy needs of people with disabilities who experience domestic violence or abuse and how social constructs regarding the disabled community make them especially vulnerable to abusive situations. Further, this workshop will explore the systemic barriers that prevent people with disabilities from receiving the support and services they need.
