Safe Bars: Engaging Community and Changing Culture

The brewing industry has met its #MeToo moment and MESA is meeting the call through Safe Bars, a national active bystander intervention program tailored to hospitality staff. MESA’s experience in approaching industry players and overcoming barriers to implementation equips participants with knowledge and skills to enlist the hospitality industry in prevention efforts, particularly in rural communities lacking social supports. Participants will strategize implementation from: identifying target players, funding opportunities, outreach engagement, and more.
