Identifying Risk Factors for Youth Engaged in IPV & Transferable Lessons for Rural Communities
We aim to better understand risk factors for youth engaged in IPV by surveying data collected from Denver’s police response and data from domestic violence homicides. Denver’s diverse population can offer insight into barriers still faced by marginal groups in a relatively well-resourced city. Many survivors in rural areas seek services in Denver out of necessity. Lessons learned from these survivors can give us an understanding of what other communities may be experiencing on a broader scale.
