“I Feel Confident”: Inspiring Teens Through Empowerment Self-Defense
In this interactive workshop, learn about the primary prevention work with youth being done by IMPACT Colorado. Empowerment Self Defense, an internationally-recognized paradigm of violence prevention education, can transform how youth respond to boundary violations, peer and dating violence, and physical threats, while addressing red-flag behaviors and consent. As one of the most researched and effective violence prevention protocols, ESD teaches uncomplicated, inclusive techniques through a carefully-honed methodology that is survivor-focused, trauma-informed, non-prescriptive, non-victim-blaming. IMPACT Colorado teaches in rural communities.
