Transportation

The Denver International Airport (airport code: DIA) is the closest airport to Denver, Colorado. Get Denver airport accessibility information.

We encourage CAIA attendees to use public transit whenever possible. There are several stops on the RTD Lightrail near the Auraria Campus.

To downtown Denver

The RTD A Line makes it convenient to get from Denver International Airport (DIA) to downtown Denver. There are six stops between the RTD airport station (8500 Peña Blvd, Denver, CO 80249) and downtown Denver’s Union Station (1700 Wewatta St, Denver, CO 80202). The trip takes about 40 minutes and costs $10.50 each way, with potential discount fares for youth, seniors, people with disabilities, and others. Once at Denver Union Station, you can can take the lighrail E line to Auraria West Station, taxi, ride share or walk (1.1 miles) to the Auraria Campus.
